大规模高性能计算集群运行过程中产生的“局部高热”问题会降低集群运行效率,集群制冷模式的配置因而成为现今高性能计算机房环境保障技术研究的一个主要方向。根据设备处在高寒地区的特点,通过对比试验分析,确认部署在集群机柜旁边的水平送风排机柜能够满足设备高性能集群制冷需求。为进一步提升制冷效果,采用定制密封组件将水平送风制冷排机柜与计算机集群组合成一个局部密闭制冷环境,形成以空气作为热交换媒介的密闭式集成制冷单元。采用这种方式使得制冷对象从机房环境转换为集群本身,从而有效提升了制冷效率和效果。通过应用密闭集成制冷单元技术使机房PUE从2.3降低到1.54,机房无效能耗明显降低。
The “high local heating problem” generated during the operation of large-scale HPC cluster will reduce the efficiency of cluster operation. Therefore, the configuration of cluster cooling mode has become a major direction in the research of environmental protection technology for high-performance computer room. According to the characteristics of the equipment in the alpine region, through the comparative test and analysis, it is confirmed that the horizontal air distribution cabinets deployed beside the cluster cabinet can meet the requirements of high performance cluster refrigeration of the equipment. In order to further enhance the cooling effect, a customized seal assembly is used to combine a horizontal air-cooled cooling row cabinet with a cluster of computers into a partially enclosed refrigeration environment to form an enclosed integrated refrigeration unit using air as a heat exchange medium. In this way, the cooling object is transformed from the environment of the equipment room into the cluster itself, thereby effectively improving the cooling efficiency and effectiveness. The use of airtight integrated cooling unit technology reduces the PUE of the equipment room from 2.3 to 1.54 and the energy consumption of the equipment room is significantly reduced.
