Objective To investigate the vascular complications and comfort after transradial approach. Methods Totally 90 patients undergoing coronary intervention were divided into radial artery group (44 cases) and femoral artery group (46 cases) according to puncture route. The incidence and the degree of vascular complications were observed. Results There was no significant difference in the postoperative vascular complications between the two groups. The radial artery group had less back pain, dysuria, anxiety and insomnia than the femoral artery group, the difference was statistically significant (p <0.05). Conclusion Coronary artery angiography and interventional therapy via the radial artery can reduce the discomfort and suffering of patients and should be actively promoted.
