The agricultural labor productivity in the United Kingdom reached a very high level in the 15th to 16th centuries, mainly due to the effective accumulation in the past few centuries. Professor Hou Jianxin pointed out: “Before the primitive primitive accumulation, the rural economy and society in Western Europe have made great strides and are the basis for the primitive accumulation that ordinary peasants have generally affluent rather than universal poverty.” This also applies to the United Kingdom. The protection of individual rights of British peasants and the great significance of land rights to peasants are still worth learning from today.
