“北京新运弱智儿童养育院”(以下简称“新运”)是一所专门训练、教育智力落后(或弱智)幼儿的特殊教育机构。它是我组织十几位弱智儿童家长和热心人士于1986年10月创办的。我的科研课题就在这里进行。国内外同行也经常来此参观和交流经验。5年来,“新运”已接收50余名弱智幼儿,其中有11名儿童先后考入北京三所培智学校,1名上了正常小学,成绩均佳。目前在院学习的有34名3～8岁儿童,他们中
Beijing Xin Yun Retarded Children’s Nursing Homes (hereinafter referred to as “Xin Yun”) is a special education institution that specializes in training and educating young children with mental retardation (or mental retardation). It was organized in October 1986 by a dozen of mentally handicapped parents and enthusiasts of my organization. My research project is here. Domestic and foreign counterparts often come to visit and exchange experiences. Over the past five years, the “New Games” has received more than 50 mentally handicapped children. Among them, 11 have admitted to three Peizhi schools in Beijing and one has attended normal primary schools with good grades.
