Anastomotic fistula is the most common serious complication after esophageal and cardiac cancer resection, with an incidence of about 0.44 to 9.4% and a mortality of 38.4 to 50%. In our hospital from November 1984 to February 1987, 100 cases of esophageal and cardiac cancer patients underwent surgery, including 98 cases of tumor resection of the digestive tract, anastomotic leakage occurred in 5 cases (5.1%), all cured. The report is as follows. Clinical data I. General information: 5 patients in this group were all males, 1 had cardiac cancer resection and 4 had esophageal cancer resection (2 of them were upper carcinoma, 1 middle carcinoma, and 1 middle and lower carcinoma). After resection of the tumor, there were 3 cases of esophagogastric anastomosis in the neck (2 cases were retrosternal gastric esophagus), and 2 cases of esophagogastric anastomosis in the chest cavity. All 5 cases of anastomotic leakage were confirmed by oral methylene blue and lipiodol angiography. Second, the main performance: This group of anastomosis fistula occurred in 6 to 10 days after surgery. 4 cases had different degrees 3 to 4 days before the occurrence of hemorrhoids
