“海峡两岸三地地质科学讨论会”暨“世界华人地质科学讨论会”于1999年8月7日～10日在北京召开。会议由中国地质学会、台湾大学地质学系及香港地质学会联合主办。会前出版了论文摘要集,共收入论文摘要94篇;120余位来自大陆、台湾、香港及世界各地华人地质学家参加了讨论会,大会交流论文16篇,分组讨论60多篇。这些论文包括地层学、构造地质学、岩石学与矿物学、矿床学、石油天然气地质学、工程地质学、环境地质学、地质勘查技术以及其他地学领域。它们从不同侧面反映了当前国内外地学研究的进展和热点问题。 出席会议的台湾学者22人,由台湾大学副校长陈正宏教授带队;香港学者5人,由香港地质学会会长、香港大学李作明 The “Cross-Strait Seminar on Geology Science” and the “World Chinese Geoscience Symposium” were held in Beijing from August 7 to August 10, 1999. The conference was co-sponsored by China Geological Society, Taiwan University Department of Geology and Hong Kong Geological Society. A total of 94 abstracts were published before the conference. More than 120 Chinese geologists from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other parts of the world attended the symposium. 16 papers were exchanged and 60 were discussed in groups. These papers include stratigraphy, structural geology, petrology and mineralogy, mineralogy, oil and gas geology, engineering geology, environmental geology, geological prospecting and other geosciences. From different aspects, they reflect the current progress and hot issues in geoscience research at home and abroad.
