Official development assistance in developed countries at constant prices in the 1980s dropped. The share of aid in GNP has remained stagnant at an average level of 0.35%. However, contrary to this situation, the Nordic countries such as Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands and Belgium in recent years have all performed very very active in foreign aid activities and attracted the attention of the international community.
