表达禁止和警告的语言一般用于提醒对方不要做某事,或者做某事要留意什么,会有什么后果等,可以出现在否定句和肯定句中,多以祈使句的形式出现。常用词汇有:careful, look, attention, pay attention to, allow, forbid, never等。
常用的表达禁止和警告的句式有:
Look out!
Be careful!
Take care!
Watch out for sudden change of the weather.
Look out for passing vehicles.
Don’t play such computer games all day long.
Never use that kind of perfume.
You’d better (not) make some improvements to your travel plan.
You can’t take this seat because it’s for women or children.
You mustn’t use your cell phone when the teacher is giving a lesson.
If you cheat in your exams, you’ll have a chance of being dismissed from school.
You’re not allowed to smoke in the waiting room.
