众所周知,TS20000D产品主要是以开放式体系架构——集群为基础进行优化开发的,采用的数据库集群系统虽然在一些商业应用领域可以取代小型机系统,但由于其管理的是多个离散的服务器节点,当节点数多于4个时,整个RAC集群系统的性能会由于节点间通讯延迟的问题而急剧下降。所以在更多的数据中心应用中(尤其是决策支持类应用),数据库RAC集群系统是无法与小型机系统相抗衡的(这一点在以往项目对比测试中我们已经深有感触)。基于InfiniBand技术的RDS(Reliable Datagram Sockets可靠的数据包传输套接字)协议的开发、成熟,为数据库RAC性能的提升提供了契机,同样对我们的TS20000D产品性能提升也提供了一种有效的方法和策略。
