Ethyl 2- (2,3,5-tri-o-benzoyl-β-D-ribofuranose) selenazole-4-carboxylic acid was synthesized in one pot. This product is an important intermediate for the synthesis of selenium-containing drugs. The effects of reaction temperature and acid on the yield were studied in detail.
