Objectives This study evaluated the antiviral and clinical efficacy and safety of Livzon (famciclovir) and interferon (IFN) on chronic hepatitis B (CHB). Methods Thirty-four patients with HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B were divided into A and B groups, treated with famciclovir and celecoxib, and famciclovir alone. Group A: intramuscular injection of famciclovir 50 0mg, 3 times / d, IFN - 1b3Mμ × 14,1 times / d intramuscular injection every other day for 16 weeks after a course of treatment; Group B: Famciclovir 50 0mg 3 times / d Oral, are 16 weeks. Two groups of patients before and after treatment were biochemical indicators and virological detection. Results At the end of treatment, ALT levels decreased to 70 2 ± 5 76 (u / L) and 82 4 ± 7 84 (u / L) in groups A and B, respectively, compared with 2 86 5 ± 12 7 4 / L) and 2 70 5 ± 136 6 (u / L) decreased significantly (P <0.01). The negative rates of HBVDNA were 58 82% (10/17) and 4 1 12% (7/17), respectively. The negative conversion rates of HBeAg in both groups were 52 94% (9/17) and 47 6% (8 / 17). Conclusions Famciclovir combined with ornithine alone or famciclovir has no serious side effects. Both of the two therapies have achieved good results. Combination therapy seems better than single treatment, but there is no statistical difference (P> 0.05). At present, we are expanding case observation, the long-term, long-term efficacy is being followed up, pending further observation.
