我养花几十年了,陪我时间最长的只有龙王球,说明龙王球最好养。开始只养1种,是右旋,最多时能一次同时开5朵花(见《中国花卉盆景》2000年5期封2《五朵金花》)。后来得知有左旋右旋两种,就四处寻找,几年后终于在一朋友家找到了,他同时把一样大的左旋右旋龙王球送给了我。我养了10多年。后因搬家后住底层,每年冬季2～3个月没有阳光,其他花好多都死了,只有龙王球不光没死,还年年开花不断,每年夏秋都开花10多次,每朵花开2天,日开夜合,有芳香,花后结红色果实。
