我区一九八二年的棉花生产,在连续三年大幅度增产的基础上,又喜创闯过百斤大关的新纪录。全区63.4万亩棉花,总产皮棉81万担,比历史最高的八一年净增27.4万担,增长51.1％比三中全会前的1978年净增46.83万担,增长137.2％,单产127.7斤,比历史最高的81年的89斤,增长48.4％,比78年的61斤翻了一番还多,在植棉历史上首次实现了百斤皮棉地区。单产最高的九江县,今年更上一层楼,全县10.3万亩棉花,亩产达176斤,彭泽县在连续三年过百斤的基础上,16.2万亩棉花,亩产也达164斤,单产总产都增长
