环—磷酸腺苷(cAMP)和环—磷酸鸟苷(cGMP)是存在于同一机体内的不同的生理活性物质,cAMP/cG MP两者在细胞内起着对立统一的作用,是调节细胞功能的重要物质。cAMP/cGMP具有多种生理功能,与受体、免疫、细胞代谢、生长等均有密切关系。有人认为促进ATP→cAMP的腺苷酸环化酶(Adenyl cyclase)本身就是β—肾上腺素能受体。Sutherlanod提出第二信使学说,即激素随体液到达组织细胞引起,该处“第二信使”浓度的改变,此时激素已不再起作
