谢启源先生，回族，原籍河北易县，１９４８年生于山西太原，现供职于山西省社会科学院。先生工诗词文章，擅金石书画，精于鉴赏，善于刊镌碑版石刻；书法诸体兼通，尤其对明清之际书法大家傅山的书法、思想研究具有很深的造诣；对傅山书法艺术的继承达到了登峰造极的高度。文中对先生成就论之颇详，透过许多当代文化名家对先生的中肯评价，可以让我们充分感受到先生作为回族文化名人的不凡业绩及其独特的人格魅力。
