Artocarpus communis Forst is a Moraceae plant grown in Indonesia. Its leaves can be used for the treatment of hepatomegaly and yellow fever. Its flowers are used to treat blepharospasm and toothache. Dried flowers are used as insect repellents. Fujimoto et al. studied the active ingredients in flowers and reported five isoprene-substituted phenol compounds, two flavanone compounds, and three dihydrochalcone compounds. Two new isoprenoid flavone compounds isolated from the bark of bark were reported in this paper and were named as arbutin E and F, respectively. Dry bread tree bark (1kg) collected from Bogor Botanical Garden, Indonesia using n-hexane (8L) at room temperature
