In this paper, the regional crustal stability evaluation and zoning study are divided into two levels and ranges, namely the dam area and its periphery of the Three Gorges Project (about 31 million km2) and the first area of the Three Gorges Project Reservoir (about 30,000 km2) Based on the research of the stress field, the fuzzy mathematics is used to evaluate the crustal stability quantitatively, and then the geological stability analysis of the crust is carried out. The evaluation and zoning results of the crustal stability of the dam area and the periphery of the Three Gorges Project show that the crustal stability of the reservoir head area is relatively stable and stable, and that of the Sandouping dam site is relatively stable. The crust of the Three Gorges Reservoir The results of stability evaluation and zoning are as follows: The Sandouping dam site is located on the intact block of ancient granite and belongs to the relatively stable (Ⅰ) block. Judging from the regional crustal stability assessment, Sandouping dam site is a rare good dam site, suitable for the construction of giant water conservancy and power engineering.
