在刚刚过去的2002年全国助残日活动期间,本刊编辑陆其国被上海市人民政府残疾人协调委员会、市残联、市人事局联合授予了“上海市自强模范”的荣誉称号。在市直机关工委系统60多家局以上单位中,陆其国是唯一受此殊荣者。 一周岁时,陆其国困患小儿麻痹症,致使左腿终身残疾。面对残疾陆其国没有悲观,更没有自暴自弃,而是努力摆脱残疾的阴影,超越自我,热爱生活、乐观进取,用知识托起新的人生。20年来,他已在解放日报、文汇报、劳动报、《萌芽》、《电视·电影·文学》、《上海小说》、《雨花》。《星火》等报刊杂志发表了200万字作品。其中短篇小说《母亲》被选入上海市中学语文读本,短篇小说《我的同龄人》获文学报“命题文学”征文小说一等奖,后被《小说月报》杂志转载,并被中央人民广播电台“文学之窗”节目配乐广播。文学报和上海电视台也都做了专访和节目予以介绍。2001年又陆续出版了专著《畸形的繁荣——租界时期的上海》和纪实文学作品集《解密档案（B卷）》两本书。
During the National Paralympic Day 2002 that was just past, Lu Qiguo, editor of the magazine, was awarded the honorary title of “Shanghai Self-reliance Model” jointly by the Disabled Persons Coordination Committee of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, Municipal Disabled City Federation and Municipal Personnel Bureau. Among them, the short story “Mother” was selected into the Shanghai Middle School Chinese Reader. The short story “My Peer” won the first prize of literary newspaper “Proposition Literature” essay novel, then “Novel Monthly” magazine reprinted, and was the Central People’s Radio “Window of Literature” program soundtrack broadcast. Literary newspaper and Shanghai TV station also made an interview with the program to be introduced. In 2001, there were two monographs entitled “The Deformity of Prosperity - Shanghai in the Concession Period” and the “Fragile File (Volume B)” of the documentary literature collection.
