Since 1973, studies of bioavailability of digitalis and the interaction of drugs with digitalis have revealed some facts that are important for actual treatment. Many of the arguments for pharmacokinetics in the literature are contradictory, and some require reevaluation Some new and more specific methods, such as gas chromatography, electron capture detectors, mass spectrometers and high performance liquid chromatography, allow further observation of digitalis metabolism in the human body.
