“双师型”教师的提法是在职业教育重要理论、轻实践,而国家发展又急需基层、一线的工程、管理、服务等诸多领域人才的特定教育背景下才提出来的。从长远来说,“双师型”教师是教师履行职责、完成教育教学任务所必须具备的条件于一身的教师;是除了承担专业理论教学又能带领学生掌握技能的新型教师;是实践与理论并重的高素质具有双重专业技术职称的复合型教师;同时也是高职教育需要的、全能型教师。
