娄成后先生是我国著名的植物生理学家和农业科学家,中国科学院学部委员(院士).娄先生1911年12月7日出生于天津,1932年就读清华大学生物系,1939年获美国明尼苏达大学哲学博士学位.于1939年绕道越南回国到西南联大工作,在昆明与汤佩松、殷宏章等先生共同建立了清华农业研究所植物生理室.抗战胜利后,娄先生随校迁返北京,在改组扩大的清华大学农学院农化系任职.1946～1948年,娄先生休假赴英国伦敦大学生物物理室进修.1948年秋,娄先生在北京解放前夕
Mr. Lou Chenghou is a famous plant physiologist and agricultural scientist in China, a member of Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Lou was born in Tianjin on December 7, 1911 and a faculty member of Tsinghua University in 1932. He received his Ph. D. from the University of Minnesota in 1939, Graduated from Vietnam in 1939 to work in the Southwest Associated University, Kunming, with Tom Yat-sung, Yin Hongzhang and other co-founded Tsinghua Institute of Agriculture plant physiology room after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Lou moved back to Beijing with the school, expanded Department of Agronomy, Tsinghua University, College of Agriculture 1946 ~ 1948, Lou on vacation to the University of London Department of Biophysics room education .1947 autumn, Lou on the eve of the liberation of Beijing
