1906年,上海法租界将境内原先以中国山河之名命名的道路,一律改成以法国人名来命名。此后,法租界就开始用这种方式来命名新辟道路,并且,还将对象稍稍扩大到了欧美其他国家的名人。法租界内选择做路名的人物的范围,主要来自于以下一些方面:1.法租界公董局的主要人物,2.法国驻上海总领事,3.法国派华特使或驻华公使,4.法国传教士,5.旅沪法侨或在沪活动过的法国人,6.法国名人,7.欧美其他国家名人。应当注意到,上海法租界道路不少是在第一次世界大战后辟建的,欧洲国家对与此次战争有关,特别是在战争中牺牲的军人极为崇敬。因此,原法租界路名有相当一部分就取自于那些与此次战争有关,特别是回国
In 1906, the French Concession in Shanghai originally named the Chinese mountains and rivers in the territory of the country, all changed to French names to be named. Since then, the French Concession began to use this method to name new roads, and also extended the target to a few celebrities in other countries in Europe and the United States. In the French Concession, the names of people who choose to do the road name mainly come from the following aspects: 1. The main characters of the French Concession Authority Board, 2. The Consul General of France in Shanghai, 3. The French Ambassador to China or the Minister to China; French missionaries, 5 French people traveling in Shanghai or Shanghai, 6 French celebrities, 7 celebrities in other countries in Europe and the United States. It should be noted that many of the French-French concessions were set up after the First World War and that European countries were extremely respected for the soldiers who died in the war, especially those sacrificed during the war. Therefore, a considerable portion of the former French Concession road names are taken from those that are relevant to the war, and in particular to return
