水玻璃砂型(芯)采用CO_2硬化法是一种操作简便,节约材料、减少设备、提高效率的好方法,在生产中得到广泛应用,但是如何合理的控制硬化时间,以便在最大限度节约CO_2情况下得到高质量的铸型(芯)却未得到应有的重视.实践证明,硬化时间过长不仅白白浪费CO_2气体,也是型芯麦面发白,长毛,容易粉化、降低型芯强度的主要原因.为此,我们对各种不同型芯恰当的CO_2硬化时间进行了一些摸索试验,在此基础上设计制作了一种CO_2硬化时间的自动控制装置其使用效果良好,杜绝了CO_2的浪费现象,每吨水玻璃砂的CO_2耗用量较以前节约50%左右,而且使型芯硬化质量有所提高.
