Five new bis(β-carbomethoxyethyl)tin derivatives including R_2Sn(acac)_2 (R=CH_3OCOCH_2CH_2), R_2Sn(dbm)_2, R_2SnO, R’_2Sn(dbm)_2 [R’=CH_3OCOCH(CH_3)CH_2] and R’_2SnOwere synthesized. The structures of these compounds were compared with R_2SnCl_2, R’_2SnCl_2,(C_8H_(17))_2SnCl_2, and (C_8H_(17))_2Sn(OCOC_(11)H_(23))_2. ~1H NMR, IR and Mossbauer spectroscopic datashowed that R’_2Sn(dbm)_2 contains a cis C-Sn-C unit, (C_8H_(17))_2Sn(OCOC_(11)H_(23))_2 exists as a mixtureof two isomers, while the other compounds have a trans C-Sn-C unit.
