目前在六级以下的岩层中,大量的采用了硬质合金,使用过程中也显示出了许多其他磨料所不及的优点,钻进效率也更进一步的得到提高。如濉溪地质队出现了几台千米钻机也是与采用了硬质合金钻进有关的。但用硬质合金来钻进六级以上八级以下的岩层,就存在着一些困难,其中最主要的有两大弱点:一、合金容易崩刃;二、囘次进尺很低。这两弱点我认为与操作方法、合金质量、合金镶焊质量、合金镶焊的几何角度等因素有关。我仅谈谈负角钻头在硬岩层中钻进
