Like most consumer electronics products, the digital video market also experienced the impact of earthquakes, financial tsunamis, and PSPs and cell phones in 2008, with the overall market weakening and shrinking in size. In the first quarter, sales of MP3 players decreased by 25.3% over the same period of previous year, sales in the second quarter decreased by 50.3% from the same period of last year, and sales in the third quarter decreased by 53.4% over the same period of last year.
