一词多义是一种普遍的语言现象,传统语义理论从结构层面不能对其本质做出全面合理的解释。运用认知语言学的原型范畴理论、意象图式观和隐喻观来分析这一现象的形成原因、构成方式及各义项间的关联性,则表明一词多义不仅是语言经济原则的反映,更是人类认知范畴化和概念化的结果,是由词的中心意义或基本意义向其他意义扩展延伸的过程。认知语言学有关多义结构的分析和解释对外语学习者具有重要的启发意义。
Polysemy of a word is a universal linguistic phenomenon, and the traditional semantic theory can not give a comprehensive and reasonable explanation of its essence from the structural aspect. The use of cognitive category theory of the prototype category, the concept of schemata and metaphor concept to analyze the formation of this phenomenon, the formation of the relationship between the various meanings, it shows that the word polysemy is not only a reflection of the principle of language economy, It is also the result of categorization and conceptualization of human cognition. It extends from the central meaning or basic meaning of words to other meanings. Cognitive linguistics analysis and interpretation of polysemy structure is of great significance to foreign language learners.
