2003年我国港口集装箱吞吐量达到4867万 TEU,与2001年2200万 TEU 和2002年3721万 TEU 相比,每年以超过1000万 TEU 的速度迅猛增长。深圳港在其中担当了十分重要的角色。2002年深圳港集装箱吞吐量为761.38万 TEU,占全国的20.5%;到2003年已达1061万 TEU,占全国的22.1%.在全球港口集装箱吞吐量排位中,深圳已名列前4名,仅列于香港、新加坡、上海之后。盐田港区在深圳港的地位更是举足轻重。到今年9月底,仅盐田港区中盐田国际集装箱码头便已达453.25万 TEU,约占全深圳港987.45
In 2003, the throughput of container port in our country reached 48.67 million TEUs, which surged rapidly with more than 10 million TEUs per year compared with 22 million TEUs in 2001 and 37.21 million TEUs in 2002. Shenzhen Port plays a very important role in it. In 2002, the container throughput of Shenzhen Port was 7.6138 million TEUs, accounting for 20.5% of the national total, reaching 10.61 million TEUs by 2003, accounting for 22.1% of the national total.
