广东青年干部学院“青年科技素质”调查组于1996年3—9月间对全省青年进行了抽样问卷调查,调查对象按粤北山区、粤东粤西两翼、珠江三角洲三大区域分层取样,发放问卷8000份,收回6702份,回收率83.8%。接受调查的青年在年龄上,以16—40岁为主,占97.5%;在文化程度的分布上,以高中文化程度为主,占总人数的45.5%;初中、大专人数次之,分别占21.8%和19.2%。这里,以“科技素质”取代“科学文化素质”,既提示出科学与技术的密不可分性,更体现了当代社会对技术的前所未有的高度需求。理论研究指出,人的科学文化素质可具体表现为科学知识、科学方法、科学意识和科学精神四个层次不同但密切相关的部份,本次调查仍以此理论分类为基本框架,而偏重于对青年科技知识和科技意识的考察,我们认为这是青年科技素质的基本方面。
Guangdong Youth Cadre Institute “Youth Science and Technology Quality” survey team conducted a sample survey of young people across the province from March to September 1996. The surveyed samples were stratified by stratified sampling in three areas of mountainous areas in northern Guangdong, two wings in western Guangdong, eastern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta , 8,000 questionnaires were distributed and 6702 copies were recovered with a recovery rate of 83.8%. The surveyed youth were mainly aged 16-40 years, accounting for 97.5% of the total population. In the distribution of educational level, the majority were high school education, accounting for 45.5% of the total. Secondary education followed by tertiary education accounted for 21.8% and 19.2%. Here, substituting “scientific and technological qualities” for “scientific and cultural qualities” not only points out the inseparability of science and technology, but also reflects the unprecedented high demand for technology in contemporary society. Theoretical studies point out that people’s scientific and cultural qualities can be embodied in different but closely related parts of the four levels of scientific knowledge, scientific methods, scientific awareness and scientific spirit. The survey is still based on this theory as the basic framework, We think that this is the basic aspect of the science and technology of young people.
