木兰围场的由来清代的木兰围场,是以哨鹿得名。“国语(即满语)谓哨鹿曰木兰,围场为哨鹿所,故以得名。”(《钦定热河志》卷46,《围场二》围场规制)因此,木兰围场又可以称作哨鹿围场。在中国古代,有“春搜、夏苗、秋弥、冬狩”之礼,是一年四时的田猎活动(见《左传》隐公五年)。清代的哨鹿,多在秋天举行,故借古礼之名,又称作“木兰秋绥”。“木兰秋绥”是一种皇家的狩猎活动,又是一种重要的政治活动,即
