Zona pellucida (ZP) antigen as an immunization contraceptive vaccine is gaining more and more attention both at home and abroad. In 1972, Shiver used rabbit anti-field mouse ZP antibody in vitro experiments, for the first time found that the surface of the egg ZP antigenicity, the antibody can prevent voles sperm and egg binding, blocking sperm penetration of ZP. After domestic and foreign scholars in order to develop contraceptive vaccines, the immune contraception ZP carried out many studies. This article reviews its research situation. Structure and function of ZP ZP is a non-cellular glial layer around the egg, mainly composed of glycoproteins. At present, the ZP molecular junction
