Chile became a member of the International Bureau of Veterinary Medicine (OIE) in 1924. 1952 as a signatory to the UN International Plant Protection Convention of the FAO. 1962 Became a member of the International Nutrition Standards Board (CODEX). 1990 Establishment of Southern Cone Plant Protection Organization (COSAVE) with Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. In 1991 with the above four countries to establish the Southern Cone region
