Takayasu arteritis (TA) commonly occurs in woman younger than 50 years old and can manifest as isolated, atypical and/or catastrophic disease. The disease can implicate in any or all of the major organs 1.As a chronic relapsing and remitting disorder, the overall 10-year survival rate is approximately 90%;however,this rate is reduced in the presence of major complications. The overall mortality rate of TA depends on the severity of the lesions and involved organs.
