Objective: To investigate the clinical treatment of uremic skin pruritus in maintenance hemodialysis patients and its effect. Methods: 49 cases of uremic patients with pruritus and maintenance hemodialysis patients admitted to our hospital were selected as research objects, and were divided into observation group and control group according to the sequence of admission treatment. Patients in the control group were treated with hemodialysis only, and patients in the observation group were treated with hemoperfusion on the basis of this. To observe the clinical treatment of both groups and the improvement of pruritus, pruritus scores and parathyroid hormone levels were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group. The pruritus scores and PTH levels decreased in both groups, but the decrease in the observation group was significantly greater than that in the control group (P <0.05 ). Conclusion: Conventional hemodialysis combined with hemoperfusion can effectively remove uremic toxins and can significantly improve pruritus in maintenance hemodialysis patients.
