曾经被“四人帮”扼杀的优秀喜剧《布谷鸟又叫了》已经平反,现在“又叫了”。我们为此发表曾经受“四人帮”残酷迫害的《布》剧作者杨履方同志的文章、陈恭敏同志的《一封未能发表的公开信》和饰演“布谷鸟”的演员谢德辉同志的文章。陈恭敏同志当时为了正确评价《布》剧而与当时文艺界人人憎恶的棍子——姚文元展开过针锋相对的斗争。这些文章的发表,将使广大读者对当时这场斗争的来龙去脉增进了解。回顾过去,是为了面向现实并展望未来。粉碎“四人帮”后,经过两年多扭转乾坤的惊心动魄的斗争,在戏剧创作和理论上,开始澄清了一些理论是非和思想是非,但也应该清醒地看到,在文艺、戏剧界,对于贯彻党的“百花齐放、百家争鸣”方针,发扬艺术民主,改进领导作风等方面还存在不少问题,对于在新形势下如何学习、理解和发展马克思、列宁、毛泽东的文艺理论,还有待深入。杨履方、陈恭敏、谢德辉等同志的文章,是今天批判“四人帮”的檄文,其中提到有关批评家和剧作家之间的关系,严格区分和正确对待政治与艺术问题,正确评价戏剧作品和剧作者,对于今天文艺界广开言路、广开戏路、广开思路,正常开展艺术上的批评与自我批评,防止因戏废人,因人废戏等简单粗暴做法,仍然很有现实意义。
