Since the reform of the new curriculum, the art education class in primary schools has made full use of the group cooperative learning model, has cultivated students ’artistic feelings and developed students’ artistic creativity. However, after observing, the author found that the basic requirements and forms of teachers ’cooperative learning for all grades of students are mostly the same, which is unfavorable to students’ development of knowledge and skills of art as well as artistic affection. Art teaching should be based on the age of the various sections of primary school students of different ages, using different forms and content
