On the morning of November 8, 1942, Major General George S. Barton led a soldier of the U.S. West Front Task Force holding a silly military banner of infantry regiment and boarded the North African continent from Ferdara Bay. This is the first U.S. flag flying in North Africa. Barton wrote to the superintendent’s advice: “Sending it to a suitable place, such as West Point, can be used to raise the morale of our future military personnel.” This view can not be said to be Patton’s individual patent. All military personnel in all countries value the use of the military flag and the military flag.
