王霸之争一直是中国政治思想史中的核心问题,先秦儒法二家的不同思想与态度是争论双方的主要理论来源。魏源立足于清末变局,讲求调和儒法,从而建立起更具包容性的王霸观。为了实现富国强兵的功利主义目标,魏源将富强设定为衡量王霸的共同标准。魏源这种立足于现实政治基础上的王霸观在遭遇到西方的入侵之后,迅速转变为“师夷长技以制夷”与“以夷攻夷”的功利思想与现实作为。魏源的政治变革思想在中国乃至整个东亚的近代史进程中,产生了巨大的影响。
The dispute between the king hegemony and the tyrant has always been the core issue in the history of Chinese political thought. The different thoughts and attitudes of the two Confucianism and law of the pre-Qin period are the main theoretical sources for both sides of the debate.
