中国古诗在意境、音韵和形式上都具有众所周知的美学价值。在将其翻译成英文时,译者应发挥主观能动性,使国外读者也获得与源语读者相同的美学体验,感悟到中国古诗的魅力。本文以许渊冲先生翻译的《琵琶行》为研究对象,以三美论为理论视角,通过考察该译本的美学效果,探索中诗英译时译者如何成功地传递原作美感。
Chinese ancient poems have well-known aesthetic value in their artistic conception, phonology and form. When translating it into English, the translator should exert subjective initiative to make the foreign readers obtain the same aesthetic experience as the source readers, and realize the charm of Chinese ancient poems. This article takes the “Pipa” translated by Mr. Xu Yuanchong as the object of study and takes the theory of “Three Beauties” as the theoretical perspective. By examining the aesthetic effect of the translation, this paper explores how the translator succeeded in transmitting the beauty of the original when translating Chinese poems.
