In the United States, changes in the structure of the pig industry, small-scale pig farmers continue to decline, large-scale continuous increase; and large-scale farmers in the market to provide an increasing share of pigs. The issue of environmental pollution is also increasingly receiving the attention of the government, production and research departments. The focus of pig manure pollution is the content of nitrogen, phosphorus and heavy metals in manure. Pig farm feces, and some use only after storage, and some use after treatment; processing a lot of artificial wetland facilities, the basic for farmland. Improper excrement management may cause pollution to surface water and groundwater. Emphasis on “green” pig diet formula research and reduction of environmental pollution are one of the tasks of pig nutrition in the future.
