The current PEP High School Chemistry Book 3 Middle School Student Experiment I “Determination of CuSO_4·xH_2O crystal water content” produces a large amount of anhydrous copper sulfate solids. Copper ions are heavy metal ions. If copper salts are discarded directly, it will cause environmental pollution and waste of medicines. Therefore, the author tried to convert CuSO 4 ·5H 2 O back to CuSO 4 ·5H 2 O, so as to achieve the reuse of drugs and save the consumption of laboratory drugs. According to the amount used in the textbook, each group of students consumed 2 g of CuSO_4·5H_2O. After evaporation and loss of water, approximately 1.2 g of anhydrous copper sulfate was obtained. If each class is divided into 28 groups for experiments, a total of 12 classes in the whole year will consume 672 g of CuSO_4·5H_2O in the entire grade, which will cost 12 yuan. After the experiment, 403 g of anhydrous sulfur will be produced.
