延安鲁迅艺术学院是在艰苦的抗日战争年代,我党为培养革命文艺干部,于一九三八年四月创建的一所艺术学校。学校设有文学、戏剧、音乐、美术四个系,并附设实验剧团、京剧团和美术工场。一九三八年九月初我到鲁艺时,校址设在延安城北门外文庙旧址附近的一个小山沟里。山脚下有五六间土平房,这里是美术系的教室、教务处的会议室并兼作干部宿舍。沿山麓还有十多间平房,每间约十平方米,是系主任和教员们的宿舍。山腰间有十几孔窑洞,是院长办公室、教室和学生宿舍;山下有一个运动场。这就是鲁艺在当时的全部校舍。山下平房每当下雨时,屋内漏雨不止;山下的
Yan’an Lu Xun Academy of Arts is an art school founded in April 1938 in order to train revolutionary art cadres during the difficult Anti-Japanese War. The school has four departments of literature, drama, music and art. Experimental troupes, Beijing opera troupes and art workshops are attached. When I arrived in Lu Yi in early September 1938, the site was located in a small gully near the site of the Confucian Temple outside Yan’an’s north gate. There are fifty-six earth bungalows at the foot of the hill, here is the Department of Fine Arts classrooms, academic affairs conference room and doubles as a cadre quarters. Along the foothills there are more than a dozen bungalows, each about ten square meters, is the director and faculty quarters. There are dozens of cave holes on the mountainside, is the president’s office, classrooms and student dormitories; the mountain has a playground. This is Lu Yi all the school buildings at the time.
