扎塘寺壁画与敦煌艺术的关系较为错综复杂,至少有两个层面的关系需要理清:其一是扎塘寺壁画与敦煌吐蕃占领时期藏式绘画传统之间存在着一种历史的传承关系;其二是扎塘寺壁画与同时期的敦煌艺术又有着一种共时的文化交流。前者这层关系不同时但同质,后者同时去不同质。这两层关系既有联系又有区别。多种关系的存在和相互之间的纵横交错为扎塘寺壁画与敦煌艺术关系的梳理增加了难度,本文试图在这方
The relationship between the murals of Zhangtang Temple and the art of Dunhuang is rather complicated. There are at least two levels of relationship to be clarified: first, there is a historical inheritance relationship between the Tibetan painting traditions of Zhangtang Temple and the Dunhuang Tubo occupation period; The second is that the murals of Zhangtang Temple and Dunhuang Art of the same period have a kind of synchronic cultural exchange. The former is not the same at this level but homogeneous, while the latter to different qualities. The relationship between the two layers is both connected and different. The existence of many kinds of relations and the criss-crossing among them make it more difficult to sort out the relationship between the art of murals in Zhangtang Temple and the art of Dunhuang.
