As a newly emerging profession, sign language translators have been confirmed and have been steadily developed in the country, but so far they have not reached the level widely accepted and widely recognized by the society. Most of the translators engaged in sign language translation are special education teachers, and few people are engaged in translation after professional sign language training. As the profession of sign language translation has just begun, the high level of sign language translators is scarce, and its aspects are still far from perfect. In particular, there is a lack of clear and specialized professional sign language interpreters for branch offices and the translation level is also uneven. Although the country has promulgated interim standards for the new profession of sign language translators, so far, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security has not promulgated a unified relevant examination certification policy, and the examination lacks uniformity and normativity. There are still many problems in the expanding sign language translation market. This paper investigates and analyzes in detail, enabling people engaged in sign language translation to recognize the difficulties encountered in the development of the industry, continuously improve their own strength and professionalism, and make due contributions to the development of sign language translation.
