本文在梳理分析新中国成立以来英语专业的发展历程和阶段性特点的基础上,讨论了《高等学校外语类专业本科教学质量国家标准》对英语类专业课程体系和教师素质的要求,并就英语专业建设和教师专业发展提出了建议。
