Objective To explore the influence of self-management education on medication adherence in psychiatric outpatients. Methods One hundred and sixty-six outpatients (outpatient follow-up) who had long-term adherence to medication should be randomly divided into control group and experimental group according to the number of voluntary participants and 58 in each group. The control group only routine outpatient care, the experimental group in the control group based on the way to focus on teaching and individual guidance targeted individualized self-care education intervention, intervention after 1 year comparison of two groups of patients compliance, drug Management style, out-patient referral rates on time, and satisfaction with nursing work. Results One year after the intervention, the medication compliance and drug administration form of the experimental group were significantly better than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The degree of knowledge of disease in experimental group was significantly better than that in control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The number of follow-up visits was 93.1% in the experimental group and the satisfaction rate was 96.6%, which was significantly better than that of the control group (75.9%, 82.8%, P <0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Continuous self-management intervention in long-term use of psychotropic drugs in outpatients helps to strengthen the relevant knowledge of the disease, enhance compliance of patients with mental illness and follow-up visits on time, so as to promote disease recovery, effectively prevent recurrence and improve nursing work Economic and social benefits.
