Professor Zhang Yuneng’s “Introduction to Schiller Aesthetics” is a great achievement of contemporary Schiller’s aesthetics. It continues the author’s consistent position of combining academic research based on the contemporary and the return to the original, as well as showing some new styles. Compared with the author’s previous research, the scope of “Introduction to Schiller’s Aesthetic” is more comprehensive and the system is more rigorous; “Schiller’s Aesthetic Introduction” highlights the human nature of Schiller’s aesthetics and highly evaluates the historical status of Schiller’s aesthetics.
