1952年,西安碑林博物馆征集到一件唐代青瓷辟雍砚(图见209页)。砚呈圆形,青釉,镂空圈足,通高9厘米、面径24厘米、底径29厘米。砚面圆而平,中间微凹,凹部直径17.8厘米,其外围系3厘米宽的环形水槽,水槽周边棱高出砚面。砚下塑有27个蹄足,围踏于5厘米宽的环形底板上,蹄足之间留有空隙,它与环形底板共同构成了此砚的镂空圈足。砚身除砚面未施釉外,余皆施青釉。此砚形状颇似古代辟雍的型制,故名辟雍砚。
In 1952, Xi’an Beilin Museum collected a Tang Dynasty celadon opened Yong Yan (see page 209). Yan was round, green glaze, hollow circle enough, through 9 cm, diameter 24 cm, diameter 29 cm. Inkstone round and flat, the middle of micro-concave, concave diameter of 17.8 cm, the outer 3 cm wide ring groove, the edge of the sink above the Yan Yan Yan. Yan under plastic has 27 hooves foot around 5 centimeters wide annular floor, leaving a gap between the hooves and foot, which together with the annular floor constitutes the inkstone hollow full circle. Yan body except Yan Shi did not glaze, Yu Shi are glazed. The shape of this inkstone is similar to the ancient system of ancient Yong, hence the name of Yong Yan.
