This article analyzes in depth the relationship between the illustrations and poems written by Nicholas Moore’s poetry book by Lucian Freud, a famous British oil painter from the perspective of narration, and explores the generation process and the sources of deep emotions behind it . The illustration of “Glass Tower” is separated from poetry. Its meaning is no longer an adjunct to its routine illustrations, but an opportunity to stimulate emotions and inspire imagination. By limiting the narrative of illustrations, painters successfully resolve the distance between readers and forms, forcing the formation of their intuitive, intuitive and poetic experience. The illustration’s content is overstepped by an intuitive form and thus eliminates the validity of the explanation. The poetic experience and imagination become the most effective way to enter the world.
