In October 1935, Ye Zilong went to work beside Chairman Mao and left Zhongnanhai until 1962. This article is written by the author based on interview recordings. According to Ye Zilong recalls, that is, from the end of 1938 to the beginning of 1939, Mao Zedong officially proposed the establishment of a secretary. Ye Zilong, the chief of the Central Military Commission, also added another title to the chairman of the Central Military Commission. According to other material records, Mao Zedong also thought about having Chen Boda as the secretary of the Central Military Commission during this period. This shows that Mao Zedong’s thinking on the establishment of a secretary of the Central Government came into being between about 1938 and 1939. At the turn of spring and summer of 1939, Chen Boda was transferred to the deputy director of the Central Military Commission office and became the secretary of Mao Zedong. However, Chen also served as the deputy director of the Central Political Research Laboratory. After the founding of the Academia Sinica, he was also director of the China Issues Research Office. Initially, Mao Zedong arranged the task of editing and editing his series of current affairs issues. He could continue his theoretical work and did not follow Mao Tse-tung all day except to complete the books and articles written by Mao Zedong.
